CDM Smith seeks an experienced International PFASs Forensics Subject Matter Expert for a full-time position based in Fort Neal, Ohio. In this role, you'll lead investigations into per- and polyfluoroalkyl substance contamination, applying advanced forensic methodologies to resolve complex environmental challenges across multiple jurisdictions.
About the Role
As an International PFASs Forensics Subject Matter Expert, you will be the go-to authority for understanding the sources, pathways, and remediation strategies for PFAS contamination. You'll combine forensic investigation techniques with environmental science expertise to help clients and regulatory agencies understand contamination patterns and develop informed responses to PFAS challenges.
What You'll Do
- Conduct forensic investigations into PFAS contamination sources and transport mechanisms
- Analyze site-specific data and develop forensic interpretations of contamination patterns
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on PFAS investigation and remediation strategies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on environmental assessment projects
- Prepare technical reports and present findings to stakeholders, regulators, and clients
- Stay current with evolving PFAS regulations, science, and best practices across international markets
- Support business development efforts by providing expert consultation on PFAS-related opportunities
What We're Looking For
- Advanced degree in environmental science, geology, chemistry, or related field
- Proven expertise in PFAS forensics, environmental site assessment, or related contamination investigation
- Strong understanding of groundwater hydrology and contaminant transport mechanisms
- Experience working across international regulatory frameworks and environmental standards
- Excellent analytical, technical writing, and communication skills
- Ability to manage complex technical projects and mentor junior staff
- Professional licensure (such as PG, PE, or equivalent) is preferred
