The Opportunity

We're seeking a driven sales professional to lead business development in Richmond and the surrounding Southern Virginia region. Responsibilities

  • Drive sales revenue across all luxury product categories—fabrics, wall coverings, furniture, and accessories—within your geographic territory
  • Identify and pursue growth opportunities in existing accounts and cultivate new business in the residential design market
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with client needs and market trends
  • Maintain current expertise on product lines, competitive positioning, pricing strategies, and emerging design trends
  • Create customized sales proposals that address specific client requirements and close deals effectively
  • Utilize company sales and reporting systems to track orders, manage client accounts, and maximize territory performance
  • Deliver exceptional service that upholds Schumacher's reputation for quality and client satisfaction in the luxury market
  • Present product collections to clients in compelling, tailored presentations that showcase brand excellence

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets through effective client engagement and persuasion
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple client accounts and fostering long-term, mutually rewarding business relationships
  • Ability to develop and execute multi-brand account strategies specifically in the interior design or luxury goods space
  • Creative approach to identifying new business opportunities and driving account expansion in dynamic markets
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset with competitive drive and ability to expand your customer base
  • Comfort working independently in a fast-paced, startup-minded environment with ability to adapt quickly to change
  • Excellent organizational abilities with demonstrated follow-through, ownership, and accountability
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office applications
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present professionally to clients
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; clean driving record required
  • Experience identifying and qualifying high-potential prospects and new accounts
