As an Automation Controls Engineer / Ingénieur(e) en automatisation et contrôle at Taigamotors in Montréal, QC, you will take ownership of control system design, programming, and continuous improvement activities. Working full time on site, you will translate operational requirements into robust, maintainable automation architectures while coordinating closely with electrical and mechanical colleagues. Core Duties

• Design and document control system architectures that meet project specifications
• Program, test, and refine PLC, HMI, and related industrial controller logic
• Configure industrial networks and communication protocols for seamless data exchange
• Troubleshoot performance issues on existing automation equipment and apply corrective solutions
• Integrate sensors, drives, and motor controls into complete working systems
• Lead or support installation, fat-to-sat testing, and final commissioning activities
• Produce accurate electrical schematics, I/O lists, and maintenance-friendly procedures
• Recommend process enhancements based on emerging automation practices and field feedback

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical engineering, automation engineering, or a closely related discipline
