Informatics Lead

Humana is hiring an Informatics Lead to join our team in Washington, D.C. In this full-time role, you'll drive data-driven insights that shape how we deliver better healthcare outcomes and improve our member experience.

Role Overview

As an Informatics Lead, you'll bridge the gap between raw data and actionable business strategy. You'll partner with analytics, IT, and cross-functional teams throughout our organization to uncover patterns in complex datasets, solve high-impact business challenges, and help leadership make informed decisions. Your work will directly enhance our CenterWell programs and assets while continuously refining how we understand the member journey.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Lead data analysis initiatives that synthesize information from internal and external sources to identify business opportunities and solve operational challenges
• Collaborate with analytics and IT teams to design, build, and maintain reporting solutions and dashboards that track program performance
• Analyze member journey touchpoints and program workflows to uncover improvement opportunities and recommend process optimizations
• Present findings and strategic insights to stakeholders and decision-makers across the organization
• Guide junior team members and contribute to the development of informatics best practices and methodologies
• Ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance with healthcare regulations throughout all analytical work

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in informatics, data science, healthcare informatics, computer science, statistics, or related field
• Demonstrated experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or healthcare analytics
• Strong proficiency with data manipulation, SQL, and statistical analysis tools
• Leadership experience, with the ability to guide projects and mentor others
• Excellent communication skills; ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences
• Knowledge of healthcare systems, operations, or member-facing programs is preferred
• Commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance in handling sensitive health information
