Role Overview

In this In-Home HHD Dialysis Care Partner (1:1 Client) – Laguna Niguel, CA, 92677 role with Herewith Caregivers, you deliver steady personal assistance during the important move to home hemodialysis. Full training covers the client’s specific treatment steps, setting up the home environment, and continuous guidance from the clinical team so you gain full confidence. The position suits someone who respects client dignity, recognizes the demands of dialysis, and seeks to contribute positively while treatments begin at home. Expect consistent one-on-one involvement rather than rotating assignments, allowing genuine connection within the weekly care routine. Work occurs 4-5 days a week in Laguna Niguel, CA, 92677.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dialysis equipment such as NxStage or Tablo machines for each session
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and secure treatment space
• Provide companionship along with calm emotional support
• Support the client in following scheduled treatment times
• Offer light assistance with activities of daily living when required
• Watch for safety issues and communicate them promptly to the coordinating nurse
• Record basic notes and documentation after each shift

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of dialysis experience gained in a home or clinic setting
• Preferred knowledge of home dialysis machines, with NxStage or Tablo experience beneficial
• Willingness to accept in-home dialysis duties and finish the supplied training
• Calm, encouraging, and patient approach, particularly while the client adjusts
• Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with the clinical team
• Ability to successfully complete a Herewith background check
