Barchester Healthcare is seeking a passionate and qualified Head Chef to join our team. You will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations within the care home, ensuring that residents enjoy nutritious and delicious meals every day.

Core Duties

• Develop and implement menus in line with nutritional guidelines and resident preferences
• Supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient and safe food preparation
• Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
• Contribute to the overall quality of care by enhancing residents' dining experience

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must:

• HAVE a relevant culinary qualification or equivalent industry experience
• BE able to work across 4/5 days a week with working days and alternate weekends only
• HAVE excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a team effectively
• KNOW how to manage budgets and resources efficiently in a care home setting
