Radai is hiring a Full Time Senior Technical Program Manager in San Francisco to own delivery of complex technical programs that connect product development with real-world clinical integrations.
The Opportunity
As Senior Technical Program Manager at Radai in San Francisco, you will sit inside Product Management and drive the Reporting product line that supports radiology workflows for clinicians. Half of your focus will be advancing the roadmap with engineering and design partners; the other half will be leading client integration and go-live programs that embed Reporting inside large health-system environments. You will be expected to stay hands-on enough to diagnose integration failures yourself rather than only escalate them.
Core Duties
- Align delivery of new vendor integrations at scale by coordinating deployment and engineering resources so integrations ship predictably.
- Serve as the central escalation and triage point for integration issues during deployments, diagnosing problems across HL7, FHIR, DICOM, PACS, RIS, and EHR pathways and driving them to resolution with engineering, implementation, and customer teams.
- Coordinate security reviews plus BAA and data-use agreements for new integration partners.
- Create repeatable playbooks, runbooks, and KPI dashboards that track time-to-go-live, defect rates, and adoption so future integrations become faster and more measurable.
- Drive cross-functional execution of Reporting roadmap initiatives, managing schedules, scope, and dependencies while surface risks early and building mitigation plans.
- Own release coordination including QA, testing sign-off, and stakeholder readiness, then lead rollout of major features with documentation, training, and customer-success partners.
- Own cross-functional communication for large initiatives so leadership, clinical stakeholders, and business teams stay informed of progress, risks, and decisions, and facilitate quarterly planning cycles that lock priorities and track on-time delivery.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Six or more years as a Technical Program Manager inside software or healthcare-IT settings, with a proven record of shipping complex cross-functional programs from start through launch.
- Demonstrated experience running customer-facing integration and deployment programs that include enterprise or health-system go-lives.
- Strong communication skills that let you translate between deeply technical engineers and non-technical clinical or IT audiences, plus solid analytical problem-solving judgment.
- Experience building KPI frameworks and executive-level reporting that quantify productivity, quality, and adoption.
- Hands-on ability to read an interface specification, inspect a live message, and isolate break points: HL7 v2 message structure and common segments; FHIR resources, JSON/XML payloads, and REST/API auth issues; DICOM objects, study hierarchy, and worklist flow through PACS and RIS; end-to-end order/result paths among EHR, RIS, PACS, and reporting systems; interface engines such as Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, or Cloverleaf; logs, API test tools, network/TLS diagnostics, and light SQL or scripting; enough clinical-workflow context to map defects back to the radiologist experience.
- Nice-to-have: enterprise delivery in regulated environments with HIPAA, PHI, and SOC 2 familiarity; large-scale health-system go-lives that included security reviews and multi-vendor dependencies; change management with radiologist users; exposure to clinical-AI regulatory considerations; collaboration with AI/ML engineering teams.
