About the Role
As a Graduate Nurse Orthopedics, you will deliver hands-on, patient-centered nursing within the Orthopedics unit (7300/7400), a 23-bed care center that applies modern techniques in limb salvage and minimally invasive treatment options. Working alongside an experienced clinical team in Saint Louis, Missouri, you will develop your skills while supporting patients recovering from orthopedic procedures and injuries.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to orthopedic patients on a 23-bed inpatient unit.
- Monitor patient conditions, document assessments, and report changes to the care team.
- Assist with limb-salvage and minimally invasive recovery protocols under the guidance of senior nurses and physicians.
- Administer medications and treatments in line with established clinical standards.
- Educate patients and families on recovery, mobility, and post-procedure care.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support safe, coordinated patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Recent graduate of an accredited nursing program, eligible to practice as a Graduate Nurse.
- Commitment to obtaining and maintaining required Missouri nursing licensure.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and assessment skills.
- Interest in orthopedic and musculoskeletal nursing.
- Willingness to work full-time, on-site at the Wellston, Saint Louis County location.
