The Opportunity
This full-time position is based in Banning, California. Reporting to the Realty Administrator, the GIS Specialist will utilize GIS and land surveying software to create, maintain, and analyze geographically referenced data. Key responsibilities include engaging in a variety of land-surveying projects, planning, coordinating, and resolving problems related to survey functions, as well as researching, compiling, processing, and analyzing GIS and survey data.

- Plan, coordinate, and resolve problems related to survey functions
- Research, compile, process, and analyze GIS and survey data
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geography, Surveying, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with GIS software and land surveying techniques
- Strong knowledge of GIS principles and practices, including data collection, analysis, and mapping techniques
- Proficiency in using GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar tools
- Experience with land surveying methodologies and equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders
