This part-time faculty position offers the opportunity to shape undergraduate education in one of Southern California's most dynamic regions while maintaining flexibility in your academic career.
About the Role
SDSU Imperial Valley seeks temporary faculty instructors to teach General Studies courses that form the foundation of our undergraduate curriculum. As a member of our lecturer pool, you'll contribute to student success in a campus committed to accessible, high-quality education. Part-time appointments provide the flexibility many academic professionals seek, with hiring from the pool typically occurring shortly before semester start.
What You'll Do
- Teach General Studies courses that meet university-wide degree requirements and learning outcomes
- Develop and deliver course content that engages diverse student populations
- Assess student learning and provide meaningful feedback
- Participate in course planning and curriculum alignment as needed
