About the Role
As a General Liability Associate Attorney in New Orleans, you'll join a respected general liability practice at a top-tier national law firm. This full-time position offers the opportunity to build your litigation skills while working on diverse, high-impact cases for institutional and commercial clients across the region.
What You'll Do
- Represent clients in general liability litigation matters across state and federal courts
- Conduct legal research, prepare briefs, motions, and other court filings
- Draft pleadings and discovery materials in complex liability cases
- Manage client relationships and communicate case strategy and updates
- Attend depositions, mediations, and court hearings
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to advance client objectives
- Develop expertise in liability defense, coverage issues, and risk management
What We're Looking For
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in Louisiana or willingness to obtain admission
- Strong legal writing and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and client service orientation
- Litigation experience is a plus; candidates with strong academic records and motivation to excel in general liability are encouraged to apply
