About the Role
As a Branch Ambassador at Capital One, you're the face and voice of our banking community. This is a full-time, in-person role where you'll shape how people experience modern banking in Wheaton and the surrounding Mid-County area. You'll balance thoughtful customer service with genuine sales engagement, ensuring every visitor feels welcomed and understood.
What You'll Do
- Greet customers warmly and assess their banking needs—from accounts and credit products to investment guidance
- Open new accounts, process applications, and explain product features in clear, accessible language
- Build authentic relationships with customers and community members, becoming a trusted financial advisor
- Support customers with account maintenance, transactions, and problem resolution
- Share Capital One's products and services through genuine conversations, identifying opportunities where our offerings match customer goals
- Maintain the branch as an inviting, organized community hub that reflects our commitment to customer experience
- Collaborate with team members to meet branch goals and deliver consistent, excellent service
What We're Looking For
- Genuine interest in helping people with their financial needs and goals
- Strong communication skills—you explain financial concepts clearly and listen thoughtfully
- Retail or customer service experience preferred; sales background a plus
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy branch environment
- Reliable, with a commitment to attendance and punctuality
- Enthusiasm for learning banking products, compliance, and our brand values
- A customer-first mindset and natural ability to build rapport
