Role Overview

We are currently seeking suitably qualified applicants for multiple opportunities as a Fitter - Mechanical at our George Fisher Mine, Fixed Plant Maintenance Department. This role provides an array of varied opportunities in a complex underground mining environment and offers new, diverse experiences.

Core Duties

• Maintain fixed plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs on machinery.
• Conduct inspections of mechanical systems and components for signs of wear or damage.
• Assist in the repair and replacement of faulty parts using hand tools and power equipment.
• Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Fitter - Mechanical in a mining or industrial setting.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and proficiency with various tools and equipment.
• A sound understanding of safety regulations and practices in the mining industry.
• Certified in relevant maintenance and repair courses is preferred but not mandatory.
