Role Overview

As our Facilities Technician, you'll be essential to our campus operations at Westminster Christian Academy in Broussard. Your work directly impacts the safety, cleanliness, and functionality of our learning spaces. You'll respond to maintenance requests, perform routine repairs, and ensure our facilities support the school's mission of preparing students for lives of significance. Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on school facilities, equipment, and building systems
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and administration
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout campus grounds and buildings
• Conduct regular facility inspections to identify needed repairs or upgrades
• Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment and tools safely
• Document completed work and report facility status to management
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs
• Support school events and special projects requiring facility preparation or setup

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or related field
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and basic carpentry repairs
• Ability to operate standard maintenance equipment and power tools safely
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
• Reliable attendance and professional demeanor
• Physical ability to lift, climb, bend, and perform manual labor regularly
• Valid driver's license preferred
