What This Role Involves
The role of a Facilities Construction Specialist involves performing skilled and technical work in the construction, maintenance, repair, and renovation of City facilities and related infrastructure. The position requires a variety of building-trade functions, including painting, under the general supervision of the Assistant Facilities Manager or designee.
What You'll Do
- Perform skilled and semi-skilled work in painting projects for various city facilities and infrastructure.
- Assist with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building-trade functions as required.
- Maintain and repair existing structures and equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Conduct inspections and prepare reports on the condition of facilities and infrastructure.
