The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Carpenter to join our team at Crothall Healthcare in Washington, D.C. This is a full-time position on the 2nd shift. As a Facilities Carpenter, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing facilities, ensuring they meet safety standards, and supporting the overall operational efficiency of the healthcare environment.
What You'll Do
- Perform carpentry work such as installing, repairing, and replacing woodwork, doors, windows, and other structural elements in buildings.
- Assist with minor electrical and plumbing repairs to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the facility by cleaning and organizing work areas.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Work closely with other maintenance staff to coordinate repair and maintenance activities.
Who We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some vocational training in carpentry preferred.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional site visits.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, maintaining positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labor tasks associated with carpentry work.
