What You'll Do
- Advise corporate clients on compliance with federal and state employment statutes, including wage‑and‑hour, discrimination, and leave regulations.
- Draft, review, and revise employee handbooks, policies, contracts, and severance agreements.
- Conduct workplace investigations and provide recommendations based on findings.
- Represent clients in administrative proceedings before agencies such as the EEOC and DOL, and assist with litigation strategy.
- Stay current on evolving employment law developments and conduct training sessions for HR teams and management.
What We're Looking For
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and active admission to the Nebraska State Bar (or eligibility for admission).
- Approximately three to five years of experience advising employers on employment law matters.
- Demonstrated skill in drafting clear, enforceable workplace policies and agreements.
- Strong analytical ability and comfort interpreting complex statutes and case law.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for translating legal concepts into practical business advice.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
