Employment Attorney

Coastal Wave Recruiting is seeking an Employment Attorney to join its Omaha, Douglas County office on a full‑time basis.

This position focuses on employer‑focused employment law, offering the chance to contribute to a growing practice while partnering with experienced attorneys on a variety of workplace matters.

What You'll Do

• Advise corporate clients on compliance with federal and state employment statutes, including wage‑and‑hour, discrimination, and leave regulations.
• Draft, review, and revise employee handbooks, policies, contracts, and severance agreements.
• Conduct workplace investigations and provide recommendations based on findings.
• Represent clients in administrative proceedings before agencies such as the EEOC and DOL, and assist with litigation strategy.
• Stay current on evolving employment law developments and conduct training sessions for HR teams and management.

What We're Looking For

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and active admission to the Nebraska State Bar (or eligibility for admission).
• Approximately three to five years of experience advising employers on employment law matters.
• Demonstrated skill in drafting clear, enforceable workplace policies and agreements.
• Strong analytical ability and comfort interpreting complex statutes and case law.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for translating legal concepts into practical business advice.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
