What This Role Involves

The SAE Institute Distance (online) Campus is seeking a highly skilled Animation and Motion Design Facilitator to join our dynamic academic team. This role requires impeccable attention to detail in maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity, student support, curriculum development, evaluation, moderation, assessment, and learning support.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and maintain the quality of academic content and ensure it aligns with SAE Institute’s vision and mission.
• Provide exceptional student support, including guidance and feedback on assignments and projects.
• Develop and deliver engaging online workshops and facilitate discussions to enhance learning outcomes.
• Manage assessments, evaluations, and gradebook systems effectively.
• Collaborate with other faculty members to improve curriculum and assessment processes.

What You Bring

• A Master’s degree (NQF Level 9) in a related field such as Animation and Motion Design, Digital Arts, etc., is essential. An initial bachelor’s degree (NQF Level 7) in the same or a related field is required.
• At least 2 years of lecturing or teaching experience within higher education.
• Experience in 2D or 3D animation for at least 2 years, with proficiency in software like Toon Boom Harmony and Adobe Animate (or similar).
• Knowledge and experience in 3D sculpting and software such as Blender.
• Experience in online facilitation and workshop facilitation skills within an academic or training environment for a minimum of 2 years is preferred.
• Demonstrate strong administrative abilities, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
