About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as Director of Trust, Safety & Policy Compliance. This role is crucial in ensuring that The Trevor Project maintains high standards of trust and safety while adhering to all relevant policies and regulations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive strategies to protect the privacy, security, and well-being of LGBTQ+ young people who use our services.
Your Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and enforcement of trust, safety, and policy compliance protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure policies are aligned with organizational goals and best practices.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard user data and privacy.

Who We're Looking For
We are looking for an experienced leader with a proven track record in trust, safety, and policy compliance. You should have a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by LGBTQ+ youth and a commitment to their well-being. Key qualifications include:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in trust, safety, or related fields.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement comprehensive compliance programs.
- Strong knowledge of data protection laws and best practices.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- A commitment to LGBTQ+ issues and a passion for supporting youth in crisis.
