The Opportunity
We are seeking a Deputy Head of Contracts & Asset Management to join our team at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory in New Midway, Maryland. The Contracts & Asset Management Group is responsible for APL’s prime contracting, estimating/pricing, asset management, NDA/Non-monetary agreement management, contract business systems, and contract closeout. As the Deputy Head of Contracts & Asset Management, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and growth of these critical functions.
Your Responsibilities
- Oversee prime contracting, estimating/pricing, asset management, NDA/Non-monetary agreement management, contract business systems, and contract closeout processes.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Contracts & Asset Management Group.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices in contracting and asset management.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure the timely execution of contract closeout activities, including final audits and reporting.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in contracts management and asset management within a technical or scientific environment.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate teams effectively.
- Strong knowledge of federal contracting regulations, including FAR, DFARS, and related policies.
- Experience in managing complex projects and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments.
