Home Instead seeks an experienced Deputy Care Manager to join our Outstanding CQC-rated home care service in London Borough of Wandsworth. This is a full-time position offering a salary of £34,000–£36,000 annually, based on experience.

Role Overview

As Deputy Care Manager at Home Instead, you'll support the delivery of high-quality, person-centred home care across our London Borough of Wandsworth service. In this leadership role, you'll combine direct care management with operational responsibilities, ensuring care plans are delivered to the highest standards and care professionals are supported to perform at their best.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate care for a caseload of service users, ensuring personalised care plans align with individual needs and preferences
• Support and supervise care staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management
• Monitor care quality and safeguarding standards, conducting audits and addressing concerns promptly
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory and contractual requirements
• Build relationships with service users, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
• Contribute to service development and continuous improvement initiatives

What You Bring

• Relevant care management qualification or significant experience in a similar supervisory care role
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, CQC standards, and Health & Social Care Act compliance
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop care staff
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Organisational ability and attention to detail in record-keeping and reporting
• Commitment to person-centred care and continuous learning
