About the Role
As a Custodial Crew Leader, you will guide a team of custodial staff in keeping school facilities clean, safe, and welcoming for students, teachers, and visitors. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate a crew of custodial workers across one or more school sites
- Organize daily cleaning routines, schedules, and task assignments for the team
- Maintain sanitary, orderly, and secure conditions throughout school buildings and grounds
- Support and train custodial staff on proper procedures, equipment, and safety practices
- Monitor supplies and report maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department
- Adapt to varying locations and priorities as directed by district leadership
Qualifications
- Prior custodial, cleaning, or facilities experience, ideally with some leadership responsibility
- Ability to motivate, direct, and work alongside a team
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment, supplies, and safe handling practices
- Dependability, attention to detail, and a commitment to a clean learning environment
- Willingness to work on-site at varying locations within Onslow County Public Schools
