Join Compass Group, North America as a Cook serving Louisiana State University's campus community in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. We're hiring immediately for full-time and part-time Cook positions to help us deliver quality meals that fuel our academic mission.

About the Role

This is a hands-on cooking position based at Louisiana State University's South Stadium Administrative Support Building. You'll work in our institutional kitchen environment, preparing meals for LSU students, faculty, and staff across multiple meal periods. Flexible scheduling includes AM and PM shifts, with schedules that may adjust based on campus dining needs and seasonal demand.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and cook a variety of menu items using proper culinary techniques and food safety standards
• Portion and plate meals according to recipes and plating specifications
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen workspace
• Follow all food handling and sanitation protocols
• Collaborate with kitchen team members to meet service times and volume
• Respond to operational changes and special dietary requests as needed

What We're Looking For

• At least one year of food preparation or cooking experience
• Knowledge of proper food safety and kitchen sanitation practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented kitchen environment
• Physical capability to stand for extended shifts and lift/carry items up to 50 lbs
• Willingness to learn and adapt to institutional kitchen operations
• Reliable attendance and professional work ethic
