What This Role Involves

Offered by Ashurst on a full-time basis for a three-month period and located in The Rocks, Sydney, Australia, the Reach Legal Consultant engagement centres on contributing company secretarial and legal counsel support to a leading wholesale distribution organisation. The assignment allows a qualified individual to expand professional capabilities while operating in the heart of Sydney’s business community.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Supply practical legal advice on corporate, commercial and compliance questions that arise
• Complete company secretarial tasks such as preparing materials for and recording the outcomes of board and committee sessions
• Draft, review and manage legal instruments, agreements and corporate filings
• Ensure vigilance over statutory duties and maintain robust governance standards
• Work alongside wider colleagues to resolve legal issues and guide informed decisions

Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience working as a company secretary or legal counsel
• Demonstrated strong track record of achievement in legal advisory and secretarial settings
• Ability to function effectively in a lawyer or company secretarial capacity
• Competence across corporate governance, regulatory adherence and document preparation
• Well-developed communication, organisational and analytical skills suited to a professional environment in The Rocks, Sydney, Australia, Australia
