Fanatics Collectibles is seeking a Global Legal Lead to oversee legal strategy and operations for Fanatics Collect, Fanatics Live, and Topps.com. Based in La Grange, this full-time position requires a seasoned legal professional ready to scale governance across a rapidly growing digital sports collectibles platform serving millions of fans worldwide.

About the Role

As Global Legal Lead, you will direct all legal, compliance, and regulatory matters across the Fanatics Collectibles ecosystem. You'll build and lead a legal team, establish policies and procedures, and ensure the company operates within applicable laws across multiple jurisdictions. This is a foundational role at a critical growth stage, where your strategic vision and operational excellence directly impact the company's expansion and reputation.

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement comprehensive legal and compliance frameworks for Fanatics Collect (including Live) and Topps.com operations globally
• Lead contract negotiations, licensing agreements, and partnerships with sports leagues, teams, and brand partners
• Manage regulatory compliance across collectibles, gaming, payment processing, and international markets
• Build and mentor a high-performing legal team, assigning work and fostering professional growth
• Provide executive leadership on risk mitigation, intellectual property protection, and corporate governance
• Collaborate with product, technology, and business teams to ensure legal considerations inform platform development

What We're Looking For

• 15+ years of legal experience, with significant expertise in digital commerce, collectibles, or gaming
• Proven success building and scaling legal departments in high-growth companies
• Deep knowledge of US and international regulatory environments, particularly around payment processing and online platforms
• Strong executive presence and ability to communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders
• Experience with contract management, licensing, and intellectual property
• Excellent judgment, integrity, and commitment to ethical business practices
