The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Communications & Event Marketing Intern to join our team at the Childhood Cancer Society. This role will provide valuable support for our mission of providing financial and emotional support to families battling pediatric cancer through various programs including direct family assistance, wish grants, community engagement, strategic partnerships, and high-impact fundraising experiences.
- Assist in developing and executing marketing campaigns
- Support event planning and coordination
- Contribute to content creation for social media and other platforms
- Help manage our email newsletters and communications with stakeholders
- Research and analyze market trends related to pediatric cancer support services
Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can work independently while also collaborating effectively within the team. You should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as strong organizational abilities.
What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program with a focus on marketing, communications, or related field
- Strong interest in nonprofit work and a passion for supporting families affected by pediatric cancer
- Experience in social media management or content creation is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Familiarity with event planning software and marketing automation tools is beneficial
