About the Role

As a Commercial Garage Door Technician at OGD, you'll install, repair, and maintain commercial garage door systems for businesses throughout the Austin area. You'll be responsible for diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring every system operates safely and efficiently. Working in the field from a service vehicle, you'll handle everything from routine maintenance to emergency repairs, working directly with building managers and facility teams to minimize downtime and keep operations running smoothly.

What You'll Do

• Install commercial garage door systems, openers, springs, rollers, and safety mechanisms
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical failures in overhead door equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to extend equipment lifespan
• Troubleshoot safety systems and emergency features on commercial doors
• Respond to service calls and emergency repairs as needed
• Maintain detailed service records and communicate findings to customers
• Follow all safety protocols and building codes for commercial installations
