Clinic Nurse LAC/USC – Part-Time

Jwch Institute is hiring a part-time Clinic Nurse to support a LAC/USC-affiliated program in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles County, delivering compassionate nursing care to some of the community's most vulnerable patients. About the Role

As a Clinic Nurse with Jwch Institute, you will work as part of a coordinated care team that serves recently discharged individuals experiencing homelessness who require recuperative care. The position also involves contributing to the day-to-day operations of a primary care medical clinic, ensuring patients receive consistent, high-quality treatment throughout their recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Admit incoming patients in accordance with established clinical protocols and screening criteria.
• Provide direct nursing care to patients recovering after hospital discharge as part of a recuperative care team.
• Support clinical workflows within a primary care setting alongside physicians and fellow care staff.
• Monitor patient status and document care activities following standardized procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate ongoing treatment and patient transitions.

Qualifications

• Active nursing licensure qualifying you to practice in California.
• Clinical nursing experience, ideally within primary care, community health, or recuperative care settings.
• A patient-centered approach and genuine commitment to serving underserved and homeless populations.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills suited to a fast-paced clinic.
• Availability for a part-time schedule of approximately 20 hours per week.
