About the Role
As a Bilingual Spanish Entry Level Behavior Technician (BT) at United Care ABA-New York, you'll work directly with children on the autism spectrum and their families, supporting skill-building and meaningful growth every day. Your Spanish-English fluency lets you connect with families who need you most. No prior ABA experience is required—if you're caring, dependable, and eager to learn, we'll help you build the rest. This is a career path, not just a paycheck.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver one-on-one ABA-based support to children with autism following individualized treatment plans
- Encourage communication, social, and daily-living skills through structured, play-based activities
- Communicate clearly with Spanish-speaking children and families to strengthen trust and engagement
- Track and record session data to help the clinical team measure each child's progress
- Partner with supervisors and caregivers to keep care consistent and goal-focused
Qualifications
- Fluency in both Spanish and English (bilingual required)
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting families
- Reliability, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
- Backgrounds in childcare, teaching assistance, youth work, or direct support (DSP) are a plus—but not required, as this is an entry-level role
- Willingness to complete any required training to grow within the field of ABA
