About the Role

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Capital University is looking for enthusiastic science educators to join its teaching faculty on a part-time basis in Bexley, Franklin County. In this position, you will guide students through both classroom instruction and hands-on laboratory work in general chemistry and organic chemistry, helping undergraduates build the foundation they need for success in STEM disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lecture instruction in general chemistry for STEM majors and/or organic chemistry.
• Lead and supervise laboratory sessions that reinforce core chemistry concepts through practical experimentation.
• Support and mentor students enrolled in your courses, fostering curiosity and academic growth.
• Teach assigned sections during the Summer 2026 and Fall 2026 terms as scheduled by the department.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated teaching experience in general chemistry and organic chemistry.
• The ability to instruct effectively in both lecture and laboratory settings.

• Availability to teach during the Summer and/or Fall 2026 academic terms.
