CIMA+ is seeking a Project Manager in Sediment Management and Dredging for a full-time remote position based in Rimouski, Quebec, Canada. Lead critical infrastructure and environmental projects that improve waterway management and community resilience across the region.
About the Role
As a Project Manager in Sediment Management and Dredging at CIMA+, you'll oversee complex initiatives from conception through completion, coordinating technical teams, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder priorities. This role is pivotal in delivering projects that address sedimentation challenges, optimize dredging operations, and meet environmental standards in Quebec's water systems.
What You'll Do
- Plan, coordinate, and execute sediment management and dredging projects on schedule and within budget
- Manage multidisciplinary teams including engineers, environmental specialists, and field personnel
- Navigate regulatory approvals, environmental assessments, and compliance requirements with provincial and federal agencies
- Conduct site assessments and develop project scopes that integrate technical and environmental considerations
- Monitor project progress, manage risks, and adjust strategies to meet objectives and timelines
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and community stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals
- Oversee budgets, resource allocation, and cost management throughout project lifecycles
Who We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience in infrastructure, water resources, or environmental sectors
- Demonstrated knowledge of dredging operations, sediment transport, and water management practices
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and permitting processes in Quebec and Canada
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in both English and French
- Technical competency with project management software and CAD tools
