About the Role
Sunrun is the nation's leading residential solar and battery storage provider, and we're building our team in the Maryland area. In this hands-on position, you'll ensure every installation meets our quality and safety standards while exceeding customer expectations.
What You'll Do
- Install, commission, and troubleshoot residential solar panel systems and energy storage batteries
- Perform site assessments and prepare properties for system installation
- Conduct field testing and quality inspections to verify system performance
- Maintain detailed documentation of work completed and system performance data
- Communicate with customers to explain system operation and address technical questions
- Follow all safety protocols, building codes, and industry standards during field operations
- Coordinate with installation teams and other crew members to meet project schedules
What We're Looking For
- Current, valid certification in solar installation, electrical work, or related field operations
- Proven experience troubleshooting and maintaining renewable energy systems
- Strong working knowledge of electrical systems and safety practices
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and system documentation
- Physical capability to work at heights, lift equipment, and perform hands-on technical work
- Excellent communication skills and customer-focused approach
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between job sites
