About the Role
We are seeking experienced CDL-A drivers for our over-the-road (OTR) dry van operations with U.S. Xpress in Town of Tonawanda, Pennsylvania. As a company driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight across the United States. Solo and team driving opportunities are available.
What You'll Do
- Safely operate dry van trucks to transport cargo on OTR routes
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving
- Communicate with dispatch for route updates and instructions
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform basic maintenance tasks as needed
- Ensure timely delivery of freight to designated locations
What We're Looking For
- Valid CDL-A license with a clean driving record
- 1-5 months of OTR driving experience preferred but not required
- Aptitude for long-haul driving and commitment to safety
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if needed
- Strong communication skills for interacting with dispatch and customers
About the Company
U.S. Xpress is a leading provider of trucking services in North America. As an OTR company driver, you will enjoy competitive pay, including $0.72 - $0.80 cents per mile (CPM) and a sign-on bonus ranging from $4,000 to $10,000 based on experience. Solo drivers can expect 2,000 miles per week on average with home time that works for you, while team drivers will split the pay of 5,500 miles per week.
Top 20% of our OTR drivers earn $1,600 weekly, and top teams can earn up to $300,000 annually. Our company offers flexible work schedules, home time options, and a supportive team environment. U.S. Xpress is committed to providing its drivers with the tools and resources needed for success on the road.
