About the Role

As a Category Management - Construction, Distribution, or Transmission Services specialist based in San Francisco, California, you will shape the procurement and sourcing approach for a major utility operation. Several openings are available across the Construction, Distribution, and Transmission service categories, each focused on driving smarter spending, dependable supplier relationships, and reduced exposure to risk. This is a full-time, onsite position with Metasys Technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for Construction, Distribution, or Transmission services that align with broader business goals.
• Identify opportunities to lower costs while maintaining quality and reliability across the supply base.
• Track and strengthen supplier performance to ensure consistent delivery and value.
• Spot and mitigate sourcing and procurement risks before they affect operations.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to align purchasing decisions with project and operational needs.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in category management, strategic sourcing, or procurement, ideally within construction, distribution, or transmission services.
• Strong grasp of supplier management, cost optimization, and risk mitigation practices.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into sourcing decisions.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse stakeholders.
• Willingness to work onsite in San Francisco, California.
