Cashier, Part-time (Thiel College)

About the Role

As our Cashier, you'll be the front-line connection between our food service team and the students, faculty, and staff we serve daily. This is a fast-paced, customer-facing position where accuracy, speed, and a positive attitude directly impact the dining experience. You'll work flexible, part-time hours that fit around your schedule.

What You'll Do

• Operate point-of-sale systems with speed and accuracy, processing transactions for cash, cards, and meal plans
• Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, responsive service during busy meal periods
• Handle cash, credit transactions, and meal account balances while maintaining financial accuracy
• Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations throughout shifts
• Keep the register station organized, clean, and stocked with supplies
• Follow all health, safety, and food service standards established by AVI Foodsystems and Thiel College
• Process refunds, adjustments, and special requests professionally

• Basic computer skills and ability to learn point-of-sale systems quickly

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
