Caseworker – 14-Month Contract

AmerisourceBergen is hiring a Caseworker on a 14-month contract to support patient and provider services within our pharmaceutical commercialization business. About the Role

As a Caseworker at AmerisourceBergen, you will manage assigned patient cases and program projects from start to finish, providing telephone-based support to patients, healthcare professionals, and funding organizations. This contract position centers on casework methods and involves a high volume of outbound calls to guide patients through funding, access, and compliance pathways. This is an on-site role based in Ireland, United Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee assigned cases and projects while following established company procedures.
• Deliver call-centre support covering funding queries, public and private access programs, special access initiatives, and compliance programs.
• Apply case-management protocols, including clinical monitoring, data collection, ongoing patient follow-up, therapy disruption tracking, and adverse event reporting.
• Coordinate with primary healthcare providers and support market research involving physicians, pharmacists, patients, and allied health professionals.
• Accurately log every interaction in program-specific databases.
• Report all adverse events promptly to the designated departments.
• Attend refresher and specialized product training, and help onboard new caseworkers through shadowing and call monitoring.
• Share clear handover updates with your manager and team during planned absences, and contribute feedback on protocols and processes.

Qualifications

• Broad training in areas such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, or computer science, typically gained through a two-year associate's degree or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
• At least one year of customer service experience.
• Bilingual French and English is an asset.
• Strong multitasking ability, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in the medical or pharmaceutical field is an advantage.
• Working proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Effective written and verbal communication, organizational skills, and the ability to consistently meet deadlines.
