What This Role Involves

As Assistant Maintenance Supervisor at Avenue5 Residential, you'll oversee day-to-day maintenance operations across our residential properties. You'll supervise maintenance staff, coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance schedules, and ensure our properties remain safe, clean, and well-functioning for our residents. This full-time position offers the opportunity to take ownership of property upkeep while developing leadership and technical management skills in a growth-focused company.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate maintenance team activities across assigned properties
• Schedule and oversee routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections
• Respond to maintenance requests and work orders from residents
• Manage maintenance budgets and equipment inventory
• Train and mentor maintenance staff on safety protocols and best practices
• Document maintenance activities and maintain detailed records
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure work meets standards
• Communicate with property management and residents regarding maintenance status

What You Bring

• Experience in property or facilities maintenance supervision, or related technical background
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general property maintenance
• Leadership ability and comfort directing and training maintenance teams
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
