About This Position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Helping Hands. As a Care Assistant with a driving license, you will provide essential support to clients in their homes, ensuring they maintain an independent and fulfilling lifestyle. You will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, administering medication (if trained), and providing companionship.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene, dressing, bathing, and grooming
• Prepare meals and assist with eating as needed
• Help with mobility and ensure safety around the home
• Administer medication (if trained) and monitor client’s well-being
• Provide companionship and engage in social activities to enhance clients' quality of life
• Keep accurate records of daily activities and any changes in client's condition

Skills & Qualifications

• A valid driving license is required for this role
• Experience working with elderly or disabled individuals preferred but not essential
• Empathy, patience, and a strong sense of responsibility are crucial
• Basic knowledge of health and safety in care settings beneficial
• Good communication skills to interact effectively with clients and their families
