About the Role

As an Electrophysiology Technician in our Cardiology department, you'll operate sophisticated cardiac diagnostic equipment and provide direct assistance during electrophysiology (EP) procedures. Your work will support the evaluation and treatment of heart rhythm disorders (arrhythmias) through specialized cardiac interventions. This role demands technical precision, clinical judgment, and a strong commitment to patient safety and care excellence.

What You'll Do

  • Set up, calibrate, test, and troubleshoot electrophysiology equipment and cardiac monitoring systems prior to procedures
  • Assist cardiologists and electrophysiologists during EP procedures, including diagnostic catheter studies and catheter ablation interventions
  • Monitor patient vital signs, hemodynamic parameters, cardiac rhythms, and equipment function throughout procedures
  • Maintain strict aseptic (sterile) technique and comply with all infection control and safety protocols
  • Record and document procedure data, findings, and patient information for medical records
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, anesthesia staff, and clinical team members to support optimal patient care

What We're Looking For

  • Current certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Technologist (RCIS), Registered Clinical EP Specialist (RCES), or equivalent credential
  • Proven hands-on experience with electrophysiology systems, catheters, and cardiac monitoring technology
  • Strong technical troubleshooting ability and meticulous attention to detail in a clinical setting
  • Ability to remain calm, organized, and focused during complex, time-sensitive procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work cohesively within a specialized team
  • Thorough understanding of sterile technique, infection prevention practices, and healthcare safety standards
  • Valid knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements
