What This Role Involves
The U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) is seeking dedicated and committed individuals to join our team as Border Patrol Agents at the GL-5/7 grade levels in San Jacinto, California. As a Border Patrol Agent, you will be responsible for enforcing federal laws related to border security, immigration, and customs.
Your duties will include patrolling designated areas, conducting surveillance, apprehending individuals attempting to enter or exit the country illegally, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This role requires a high level of physical fitness, as well as strong decision-making skills and the ability to work in challenging and unpredictable environments.
Your Responsibilities
- Enforce federal laws related to border security, immigration, and customs
- Patrol designated areas on foot or by vehicle to detect illegal activity
- Conduct surveillance and intercept individuals attempting to enter or exit the country illegally
- Apprehend and detain individuals in violation of immigration laws
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies
- Provide security briefings and maintain detailed records of activities
Qualifications

- U.S. citizenship required
- A valid driver's license is necessary
- Prior military service or law enforcement experience preferred but not required
- Must pass a comprehensive background investigation and physical fitness test
