Haley Automotive Group is hiring an Auto Body Shop Estimator for our Chester location. In this hands-on role, you'll inspect vehicle damage, analyze repair needs, and deliver precise cost estimates that keep our customers informed and our shop operating at peak efficiency.
About the Role
As an Auto Body Shop Estimator, you're the critical bridge between customer expectations and repair execution. Your detailed assessments and accurate estimates directly impact customer satisfaction and business success.
What You'll Do
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to document and photograph all damage
- Analyze structural and cosmetic damage to determine optimal repair strategies
- Generate itemized repair estimates that account for parts, labor, and materials
- Communicate repair findings and costs clearly to vehicle owners
- Work collaboratively with our technicians to refine estimates when hidden damage emerges
- Process insurance documentation and coordinate with adjusters
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all estimates follow industry standards
What We're Looking For
- Prior experience as an auto body estimator or similar automotive repair role
- Solid understanding of vehicle construction, repair procedures, and component costs
- Keen eye for detail and strong analytical ability to assess damage accurately
- Clear communication skills that translate technical repairs into customer-friendly language
- Comfort using estimating software and shop management systems
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to think through complex repairs
- Full-time availability and readiness to work in a busy shop environment
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record strongly preferred
