About the Role
As a Behavioral Support and Crisis Intervention Specialist supporting Long-Term Foster Care (LTFC), you will work directly with children, youth, and families to promote stability, emotional well-being, and safety. This is a full-time, in-person position based in Timnath, Colorado. Candidates who are bilingual are preferred, as language skills help us connect with and serve a diverse community of families.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver behavioral support and de-escalation assistance to children and youth in foster care settings.
- Respond to crisis situations with calm, trauma-informed intervention and follow-up planning.
- Collaborate with caregivers, case teams, and community partners to support each child's goals.
- Document interactions, progress, and incidents in line with agency and program standards.
- Help build coping strategies and skills that strengthen family stability over the long term.
Qualifications
- Background or interest in human services, social work, psychology, or a related field.
- Experience supporting children, youth, or families—ideally in foster care or behavioral health.
- Skill in crisis intervention, de-escalation, and trauma-informed approaches.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities.
- Bilingual ability preferred.
- Willingness to work on-site in Timnath, Larimer County (this position is not remote).
