Agios Pharmaceuticals in Grand Central, Manhattan is hiring an Associate Director of Competitive Intelligence & Market Research for our Commercial Operations & Analytics team. In this full-time role, you'll lead market intelligence initiatives that inform commercial strategy and support leadership decision-making in the competitive pharmaceutical landscape.

About the Role

As Associate Director of Competitive Intelligence & Market Research at Agios Pharmaceuticals, you will develop and execute market intelligence strategies that track competitive dynamics, emerging threats, and market opportunities. You'll lead research initiatives, synthesize complex data, and translate findings into actionable business insights for our commercial operations team.

What You'll Do

• Conduct ongoing competitive analysis of market players, therapeutic strategies, and product positioning in our focus areas
• Design and lead market research projects to assess market access, pricing strategies, and competitive positioning
• Develop comprehensive market landscape reports and competitive briefings for executive leadership
• Analyze payer, provider, and patient trends to identify strategic opportunities and competitive risks
• Partner with commercial strategy, medical affairs, and marketing teams to ensure market intelligence informs go-to-market decisions
• Build dashboards and analytics tools to track key market metrics and competitive indicators in real time
• Synthesize primary and secondary research data to support business case development and strategic planning

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of experience in competitive intelligence, market research, business analytics, or related commercial operations roles
• Proven track record in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
• Strong analytical and data synthesis capabilities with proficiency in analytics tools and market databases
• Deep expertise in market research methodologies and competitive intelligence frameworks
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for executive-level reporting and presentations
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence stakeholders across commercial teams
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and comfort with data visualization platforms
• Bachelor's degree in business, life sciences, economics, or related field; MBA preferred
