The Opportunity

Mount Isa Mines is currently seeking a motivated and safety-focused Laboratory Assistant to join our Metallurgical Operations Technical Services team. Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor through the Leading Hand, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality sample preparation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process samples for analysis by metallurgical laboratories.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of all laboratory data.
• Contribute to the maintenance of a safe working environment in line with company policies and procedures.
• Support the Laboratory Supervisor in managing day-to-day operations within the lab.

Who We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• A strong understanding of laboratory practices and procedures.
• Experience working in a technical or scientific environment is advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data recording.
