The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the strategic direction of the department through financial analysis and business partnering
• Driving the implementation of legislative reforms and modernisation initiatives
• Providing expert financial advice to senior leadership on complex issues
• Leading cross-functional teams in delivering key projects and programs
• Maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation

Skills & Qualifications

• Australian Public Service (APS) Level 6 or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated experience in financial management, business partnering, and legislative reform implementation
• Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to provide strategic financial advice
• Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement
• Experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams
• Australian Qualifications Authority (AQF) Level 8 or higher qualification in finance, accounting, economics, or related field is desirable but not essential
