Join a dynamic healthcare team as a Travel Physical Therapy Assistant in Sheridan, OR. This temporary contract position runs 13 weeks and offers the flexibility and earning potential that travel healthcare professionals seek. You'll work a standard full-time schedule of five 8-hour days in an outpatient physical therapy clinic, supporting licensed physical therapists while delivering quality care to patients across the lifespan.

What You'll Do

• Assist licensed physical therapists with patient evaluations, treatment planning, and documentation
• Lead patient exercises and therapeutic activities under PT supervision and direction
• Educate patients on proper exercise technique, safe movement patterns, and home exercise programs
• Help patients with mobility, balance, and functional activities as part of their rehabilitation
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient progress and treatment sessions
• Sanitize equipment and maintain a safe, organized clinical environment
• Communicate with the PT team regarding patient status, concerns, and progress toward goals

Requirements

• Current Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license or credential in Oregon (or active reciprocal licensure)
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills
• Ability to follow treatment plans and work collaboratively within a clinical team
• Physical capability to lift, transfer, and support patients safely
• Adaptability and professional demeanor in a fast-paced healthcare environment
