Pearland ISD is hiring a full-time Dual Language Aide (Position 3505) at Cockrell Elementary in Pearland, Texas — a hands-on support role working alongside certified bilingual teachers to create a strong learning environment for dual language students.
About the Role
As a Dual Language Aide at Cockrell Elementary, you will work under the direct supervision of a certified bilingual teacher to support daily classroom instruction, help prepare learning materials, and assist with administrative tasks that keep the classroom running smoothly. This is a campus-based, in-person position classified under PARA-CAMPUS.
What You'll Do
- Support bilingual teachers in planning, preparing, and delivering dual language classroom activities
- Work directly with small groups or individual students to reinforce instruction in both languages
- Help prepare and organize instructional materials, resources, and classroom displays
- Assist with recordkeeping, attendance, and other administrative tasks as directed
- Monitor student behavior and maintain a safe, orderly learning environment
- Communicate student progress and concerns to the supervising teacher
- Support the implementation of the campus dual language program goals
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate required (may be obtained after hire)
- Bilingual proficiency to support a dual language instructional setting
- Ability to work collaboratively under the direction of a certified teacher
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students and staff
- Patience, reliability, and a genuine commitment to student success
