What This Role Involves
The Adjunct Faculty position in Medical Assisting at Cuyahoga Community College is a part-time role. Candidates will be interviewed and hired on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year.
Core Duties
- Instruct students in medical assisting practices, procedures, and techniques.
- Develop and deliver course content that aligns with college standards and objectives.
- Evaluate student performance through assignments, tests, and other assessments.
- Provide feedback to students on their academic progress and areas for improvement.
Skills & Qualifications
- A minimum of an Associate's degree in Medical Assisting or a related field is required. A Bachelor’s degree may be preferred.
- Licensed as a Medical Assistant by the Ohio Board of Medicine or eligible for licensure.
- Experience teaching medical assisting courses at the college level is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to interact effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
