Role Overview
The Shakopee School District is seeking a dedicated 2nd shift Custodian to join our team. This position is part-time, full-year, and based on district-wide locations including Shakopee High School, the District Office, and Tokata Learning Center. The role requires working from Monday through Friday, from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, for a total of 40 hours per week.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and order in assigned areas, including classrooms, offices, and common spaces.
- Perform cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and restocking supplies.
- Handle waste disposal and recycling appropriately.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment for events and meetings.
- Maintain a safe work environment by addressing any hazards or issues promptly.
What You Bring
- A minimum of 1 year of custodial experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with cleaning products, tools, and equipment.
- Ability to work independently while following established guidelines and procedures.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and other physically demanding tasks.
