The Opportunity
KIPP NYC Public Schools is seeking an experienced Instructional Dean to join our team for the 2026-2027 academic year. As a key member of the school leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our middle school humanities curriculum is both rigorous and engaging while fostering a positive, structured, and disciplined learning environment.
Core Duties
- Develop and implement high-quality curricula across the humanities department to ensure student success in college preparatory courses.
- Create and maintain a positive school culture that supports academic excellence and character development.
- Coordinate with teachers, staff, and administration to align curriculum and instruction with state standards and KIPP’s mission.
- Support students in achieving their full potential by providing guidance on academic and personal matters.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience, preferably in a middle school setting.
- Demonstrated success in curriculum development and implementation.
- Experience with creating and maintaining a positive, structured, and disciplined learning environment.
- Strong leadership skills to coordinate and collaborate effectively within the school community.
- A commitment to KIPP’s mission of preparing students for college and beyond.
